Are you looking for the perfect frame to set your poster off? Look no further! Project Nord has a range of poster frames in all sizes and colours. You’ll be able to find the perfect fit for your chosen designs.
Now, what’s your style? Do you like to keep it au natural, show off the natural grain in wooden frames, just like the Scandinavians? Or, do you prefer something a bit more modern - a magnetic poster holder to let the design speak for itself?
Whichever you prefer, we have in our collection of Scandinavian-style picture frames for you.
If you’re wondering which picture frame sizes are best for your posters, then stick around. Here at Project Nord, we stock both 30x40 cm (12’ x 16’) poster frames and 50x70 cm (19.68’ x 27.56’) poster frames. Whatever impact you want to make, you can do so with our frames.
We also have a range of colours to suit your needs. Each of our frames are stocked in black, white, and natural wood. This means that you can get experimental with the colour combos you create with designs.
In addition, there are two sorts of frames that we have available. One is a standard frame made out of wood and a sheet of high-quality plastic. There is even a protective peel on the surface to stop scratches as it is being transported.
The other frame is a magnetic poster hanger which uses magnets to hold a poster between two pieces of wood. This design is slick and modern. The simple design shows off our posters perfectly.
If this sounds like something you’d like to try out, browse our collection of online picture frames now. They are that perfect final touch allowing the designs to sing! Just perfect, here from Project Nord.
Are you wondering how you can put framed wall art up in your home? Follow these steps to find out exactly how you should decorate your walls with framed prints.
First of all, you need to choose your posters. We have an amazing range of designs here at Project Nord in stunning, Scandinavian style. Which is the right one for you?
If you’re after something which adds a pinch of elegance to any home, take a look at the posters within our minimalist collection. These designs suit any space. In highly-decorated spaces, the minimalist designs create a beautiful moment of calm. In more relaxed spaces, a minimalist poster blends into the chill aura.
Our designs are split into themed categories, colour schemes, and sizes. So, it’s easy for you to find the exact poster you were looking for.
If you want to make a really big impact, take a look at our bigger print sizes. And don’t worry, we have large picture frames to match. Large posters framed look like real art pieces. Try them out!
After you’ve landed on the design you want, have a think about which frame would work better for you. Is there a colour you want to draw out of the design? Perhaps, there are tiny elements of black detailing which would suit a black frame.
Or, is the design of something natural, like our line art flower designs for example? This would look lovely in natural wood poster frames. Wood wall frames have an air of effortless sophistication to them. Plus, with monochromatic designs, they add that touch of colour that some designs are screaming for.
Remember, these designs work great when put together as a gallery wall. And, as we stock reasonably-priced (cheap) picture frames, having a stunning wall of art is very affordable. It’s love to have some oversized poster frames with some smaller magnetic poster frames.
With smaller designs, you could even make yourself a magnetic poster board. As we don’t stock A4 frames, these could be stuck to the board using magnets. Then, with bigger designs, use one of our custom poster hangers! It’s like a bulletin board of art!
Choose which sort of frame you want, whether it be a traditional or magnetic poster hanger frame, and make your order with Project Nord!
Once you receive your custom picture frames, it’s time to start thinking about how to get them up on the wall.
It’s a good idea to get your designs in their frames and lay them out on a flat surface first, like your bed. Then, you can play around with the positioning of the designs before you start nailing into the wall.
Having larger designs in the centre tends to make the balance of the custom poster frames easier to handle. You can then put smaller designs on the outside.
It’s important to also think about the intensity of detail too. Having a design on the outside which feels quite heavy and packed might make it feel a little lopsided. The best thing you can do is have a play around!
Also, don’t be afraid to mix different sorts of frames together. Yes, it does look sleek having all black frames for example on one wall.
But, where’s the fun in that! See how a wood frame looks next to a black magnetic frame. You might be surprised by the cool combinations you achieve if you play around a little!
Next, you need to think about how exactly you will attach your new designs to the wall. You need to be careful on this step as it’s important that you get it right.
There are several techniques you can use which depend on how confident you feel in your abilities.
For the first technique, you will need a measuring tape, a pencil, and some washi tape. Washi tape is like masking tape - which would also work well - but is more durable.
First, measure the width and height of the wall you want to hang your posters on. Once you have a rough estimate of the size you have, you can start working out where your first piece will go.
To do this, attach some washi tape to the top of the design or coil it round on the back so that it becomes double sided. Then, place your design on the wall where you think you want it to be. It’s best to do this before you frame them.
Once you have the position just right, put strips of tape on your wall around the poster. This way, you can see exactly where the poster will be hung and nail in the correct place.
Next, take the poster down and put it into the frame. Once it’s inside, put the frame against the rectangle you’ve drawn out with the washi tape so you can estimate where the nail will need to go. Also, use your measuring tape to get exact measurements. You can then use the washi tape as your guide and draw a cross on the wall where your nail needs to go.
Be careful with this next step, we don’t want you hurting yourself. Always before you nail into the wall, be sure you won’t hit anything like an electrical wire. If there is a plug on this wall, you need to be extra careful.
Then, take your nail and hammer it into the wall. If you are not so sure about using a hammer and nail, there are alternatives you can use even to get frames to fix to the wall. For example, there are hooks available which use super-strong adhesive to make sure they stay stuck. Investigate your options if you’re feeling a little nervous.
Now, you will be able to get your frame on the wall! Repeat this process until all your designs are up. It’s definitely easier to leave the frames off the wall whilst you’re putting other designs up. Just see how you go and have fun with it!
These processes can take a little time, but it’s worth it. Plus, just take a look at what you created afterwards!
If you’re really unsure, it’s also possible to get people to put your frames up for you. Just search ‘picture hanging services near me’ to find who is available in your local area.
